Lizzie's Baby Blanket. I wasn't ready for Lizzie. Her
mom had a hard time of it for the last three months before Lizzie was
born, and I spent more time taking care of Lizzie's mom than thinking
about making a baby blanket for Lizzie! That's the primary reason I
decided to crochet instead of knitting or weaving. It was easy, it was
fast, and I could take it anywhere I went. A good piece of this blanket
was made at the hospital while we were waiting on Lizzie's arrival.
The pattern for this blanket is called "Puffed Shells" and is from the book Herrschners Blue-Ribbon Afghans, published by Oxmoor House (ISBN 0-8487-1457-1). The yarn was Caron Simply Soft 100% Acrylic, 4 ply Worsted Weight in Baby Brights Ombre 9801. |
