Fence building in full swing!

Now that the weather is clear and dry, and The Welder has found a small pause in his work schedule, fence building is in full swing.

This time The Welder and Helper Bob are adding a cross fence in the big North pasture, the one that runs along the road, to separate it into two pastures.  Every day brings a little more progress.

Stakes were pounded, strings were strung, measurements were marked.

Holes were dug with a two man auger, then dug out into a bell shape by hand

Pipe was cut and posts were set in concrete

Braces were built, and t-posts were pounded in.

Before long, it will be a fence!

THANK YOU to my early 2012 Shareholders for providing the funding for this project.  Slowly but surely, we are moving toward more rotational grazing and less feeding of hay!
