What Good Farm Help Looks Like

I had to drive 4EVER last night to pick him up, but I was totally THANKFUL for the help I had today. I picked up my bonus child, Ge’mar, from his “regular job” at J. C. Penney last night, and brought him to the farm.  This morning, I woke him up and he was a Working Machine!  Oh, to be able to clone this child!

First, while I fed the animals, he mowed the back yard and the front yard.

Then, he helped me wrangle goats and clip their hooves.  Only 2 escaped and, truth be told, it was because I was tired!

Then it was time for a breakfast that included Farm Fresh Eggs!

After breakfast, I cleaned out the barn water trough — Rascal had cushed in it and it was quite the dirty, straw-filled mess — and Ge’mar sprayed alpaca bellies.

He also treated a keet who had a scrape of some sort.

Georgia (GD #4) challenged me to a few games of Uno, in which she beat me soundly.

While we were playing, Ge’mar cleaned all 12 rabbit cages. At least it was air conditioned in there!

Next, we hooked up a hose and repositioned a water trough so it would be in the shade.

For our last chore of the day, we moved the little sheep shelter (which, in truth, the dogs spent more time in than the sheep) to the Far East pasture, so that the Princess would have a little shade while she is keeping an eye on the alpacas during the day.

By 3:00 p.m. we were through, and by 3:30 we were at the Dairy Queen.  Ge’Mar was home, safe and sound, and probably glad of it, shortly thereafter.

THIS is how things get done on the Farm!

Please tell me how I can clone this child!!!!!

  • when you do clone him, I have a farm that needs at least a couple of his clones. South GA. PLenty to do. Good food.

    • I’m telling you! I know how you feel! Ge’mar, basically, learned to work at my house. Even before we moved to the country, he was earning money by mowing the lawn, painting my house, etc. He brought a couple of friends over from time to time, but they couldn’t keep up, and never came back again!

  • When you figure that out, let me know and I’ll take 4 or 5 of them. Just put it on my tab! Way to go, Ge’mar!!
