postheadericon Desperate Times, Drastic Measures

There are some REAL benefits to having a concrete floor.  You can do just about anything to it (that doesn’t involve a really caustic acid) and then clean it up!

Today, I’m going to test that premise in a new way. Desperate times call for drastic measures, and these, folks, are desperate times.  It’s going to be 100+ all weekend, and I have about a gazillion goats that need shearing.

In about 30 minutes, I’m going to start shearing those goats, in the Bunny Barn.

The first candidates await patiently, while my Nigora buck, Blackie, rather impatiently is trying to figure out how to get in the pen with the doe. Princess is no doubt somewhat chagrined that her favorite place to lay (next to the back door of the Bunny Barn) has been usurped by these creatures that she doesn’t even know! They live in the OTHER pasture!

Shearing will continue at least part of the day every day until all the angoras and Blackie are sheared. If you would like to come by and watch, please send me an email first or give me a call. If I don’t answer, it’s because I have my hands full. Leave a message and I’ll call you back when I take a break.

Now let the fur removal begin!
